I like this portrait of you as well. I would have to agree that the color is muddy. But I am in class with you so I know that you have fixed that problem :)) You need to post some of your new work, I LOOOOOOOOVE it
ReplyDeleteYour over all work has improved...however I really do enjoy the shape making skills you have used
ReplyDeleteI do agree that the color in this painting is on the muddy side. I like your later portraits better color wise, but I really would love to see your latest work on your blog. You are amazing at still lifes.
ReplyDeleteHey you know I'm a big fan of you mysterious side. You seem like a modern day vampire and I love vampires. Being serious I wish I had your expertise of making those wonderful shapes.
ReplyDeleteI agree that you should post some of your new colorful still lifes, but I think your self portraits are interesting, as well. You have just gotten really good with color :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a very peaceful image in my opinion. The colors and the soft edges convey a "relaxed" look, and the facial expression is contemplating, even curious, rather than expressionless and dull as I'm used to seeing in many self-portraits... This reminds me of how I need to work on my own portrayal of realistic facial expressions, haha.
ReplyDeleteDude, I have always enjoyed your style and the way you go about your paintings. You have this dry humor about you that comes out in your work. I remember the first time I say this painting of yours I saw first the humor of this painting because this is not how you perceive yourself to be .. am I right?
ReplyDeleteAwesome painting! The way you shaded the curves of the fabric is nice, I also like how subtle the painting is. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteAmazing✿ I didn'tknow that it was your first time painted self-portrait !The color repationships are good and especially the highlights on a clothes.
