Another Still Life Painting

Yet another still life painting. For this one, I wanted to make a more complex arrangement by adding more objects. This one was tough to do. I had to go back over it after it dried because it was muddy in some places, and you can tell that I just picked at it too much. Now that I've gone over it, I'm now pleased with it. Hopefully, I can use something like this for our post card project.

Still life

This is a painting that I did either last week or the week before (can't remember exactly). As you may have known, I like doing paintings of still life setups. The reason I like the still life is because there are so many different ways that I can arrange it. Plus, it's easier than trying to paint the figure, especially one that continuously moves around while I'm trying to paint him/her. Also, for some reason, I like to incorporate the skull in some of my drawings and paintings. It's a complex form that, in my opinion, gives the drawings and paintings more depth.

Prehistoric stuff

This is the magazine that caught my attention. Actually, this was the second magazine that caught my attention. The first one was a half naked chick on a motorcycle. I figured, "Well, I can't bring that on a Christian Campus", so I got this. I actually got this from Walmart instead of Books-a-million.  This caught my attention because I like prehistoric stuff. Have fun reading the words backwards.

painting

I enjoy doin' paintings of still life setups. I wanted to paint this one differently. Lately, I've been trying to make my paintings more abstract, but for this one, I wanted to make it more like a texture painting.

Elizabeth

This is a tone drawing of my best friend. Her name's Elizabeth. We (kinda) work together at the Ramey's grocery store in Purvis. She's really awesome for letting me draw her. It took me a while just to get her face right. This drawing's not perfect. I don't feel that it does her justice, but she really liked it.

Siberian Husky

This is a tone drawing I did of my mom's pet Siberian Husky. I originally wanted to do this picture for her on her birthday, but since I procrastinate so much, It didn't get done til a month later.
